Transitioning to civilian life after combat or active duty often presents unique difficulties and challenges for service members. From homelessness stemming from evictions and foreclosures to child custody disputes to problems with benefits, veterans can have a variety of legal needs due to their separation from home.
This afternoon inter-departmental program will educate Massachusetts judges regarding issues, specific legal remedies and obligations affecting veterans, as well as resources available for them in the court system.

Understanding the BRAVE Act
Common Criminal and Civil Issues for Veterans
How the Veterans Treatment Courts in Massachusetts work
